As with any tour, you will be welcomed by your tour guide and hear about the history of the famous London sites, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park and the Marble Arch just to name a few, all whilst eating the most delicious English high tea.

Do not eat lunch before you go! If you get too full on the tour you can always take home a wee box of treats.

Food sensitivities or preferences

Brigit’s Bakery offers different options for afternoon tea; traditional, vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten free. Make sure when you book you select your food preference or let me them know if you have an allergies. They were more than happy to cater for my seafood/fish allergy.

Seating arrangements on the B Bakery Bus tour

On your 90 minute (roughly) bus tour, you will be seated at your own pre booked and pre prepared table. There are only 11 tables so you need to make sure you book in advance.

Of these 11 tables, two are VIP tables which are located at the front of the bus, and have the best views.

The other 9 tables are spread across the lower and upper deck. The price of your table varies depending on your table selection and extras such as prosecco etc. Prices begin at £45 per adult.

Note: The VIP tables only seat two people. We sat on the upper deck and highly recommend this. The views we had were fantastic. If you can, request the upper deck at time of booking.

Food and of course, tea, aboard the Brigit’s Bakery Bus tour

The food is amazing. It is beautifully displayed and tastes as good as it looks.

When you arrive on the bus, your table is preset and your first array of cakes and sandwiches are waiting for you. You are presented with a gorgeous spread of sandwiches, mini cupcakes, macrons and pastries.

Your host will offer you a choice of several different types of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, freshly squeezed orange juice, and water.

If you have chosen the prosecco option (I recommend this!) your wine will be poured throughout the tour. During the tour, you will be asked if you want more of everything, so feel free to ask for more beverages and to take some extra cakes!

An assortment of cakes and sandwiches on a table

I highly recommend asking for a hot drink, as you will be provided with your own reusable cup and it is super cute! Pink of course!

Don’t worry, you won’t spill your tea! The cup holders come in handy when you’re turning those tight corners.

Around 45 minutes into the tour the staff will make the rounds with warm, fresh scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Even if you are bursting at the seams, take a scone! They are amazing.

Towards the end of the tour, the B Bakery staff will ask if you would like a box to take home any left of goodies, again take a box!

We didn’t as we were boarding our flight to Australia that night, half way through the flight, I was wishing I had a box of delicious B Bakery snacks.

My BEST Travel Resources

Here are my favourite travel resources for planning travel like a pro

Flights: To find the best flights I always search on Google Flights or Skyscanner. For even cheaper flights, fly mid week and pack in a carry on!

Accommodation: I always use (I love their price match and flexible cancellation policies) or Airbnb (if I want a little more space) to book trip. If you prefer hostels, I suggest Hostelworld.

If you are new to Airbnb you can get an awesome discount using this link

Travel Insurance: After a few hairy moments on my travels, I ALWAYS purchase travel insurance. It may seem like a big cost now, but if the worst happens, it will save you a lot of money and heartache. I personally use World Nomads (and love them!), but I recommend that you do some research to find the insurance company that suits your needs.

Tours: While I prefer to travel independently, I do love doing some tours once I’m in a destination. It is a great way to find out history, hidden gems, taste local food and get a local insight into your destination. I always use Viator to book my tours.

Train Travel: If you are planning on taking the train in Europe, I cannot recommend the Eurail enough! Check out The Ultimate Guide to the Eurail Pass to find out why
